You will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Enjoy a drive via typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads. Along the way, we shall have a brief stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley, which is fault line some 3,500 miles (5,600km) long stretching from Ethiopia’s Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique. We will arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive in the late afternoon at the reserve. Return to safari camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Spend the day exploring Maasai Mara Game reserve. Go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the reserve. You may opt to split the game drives into morning and evening game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$20 per person) or taking a hot air balloon safari at $450 per person. Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop up roof hatch and enjoy this unhindered 360 views, and the possibilities for what lies ahead. Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. In the Mara River, throngs of hippos and crocodiles lurk. The park is also known for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats thanks to its relatively large populations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You will also see lots of Elephants, Masai giraffe, common zebra, impala, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, Topi, Hartebeest, Black-backed jackal, spotted hyena, various bird species and many more. Dinner and overnight at the safari lodge.

Wake up for a morning game drive through the Masai Mara National Reserve. The cooler air and low-light are the ideal time to spot hunters such as lions and leopards on the prowl, and the early morning light is also quite spectacular as it sets fire to the landscape.
After Check out, depart for Lake Naivasha. The lake is situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. Check-in at the resort and have lunch. In the afternoon , head out for a walking safari by boat ride in the Crescent Island. It’s one of the few places in the wild where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, impalas and countless bird species. Return to your resort in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After a relaxed breakfast, check out from your hotel be transferred to Nairobi with drop off at Jommo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your outbound flight bringing to an end a memorable safari under the African blues (Outbound flights not earlier than 1800hrs).
