Fist class tour and service We have just retired from a first class trip to Kenya visiting Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara . The basic itinerary was suggested by Saunterland tours who worked with ourselves to amend as we required to make this a unique experience Our guide Simon Gathai, looked after us for the full trip, even selecting a guide for Mount Longonot who gently encouraged us during the accent, to checking out the driver collecting us for the balloon flight. Nothing was left to chance. He managed to be in the right place, for a very close encounter with a lioness, and finding the elusive leopard, ensuring we saw not only the big 5 but the Ugly 5, plus so much more.Saunterland tours went above and beyond what is considered customer service, even checking in with ourselves during the trip to ensure everything was to our liking, and making sure we were kept hydrated during the trip with not only water but personalised water bottles

Great safari from Mombasa to Nairobi/east Tsavo and Amboseli We booked a safari to Tsavo east and Amboseli for three days. The safari started from our hotel from Diani beach and ended to Nairobi. First Tsavo, then Amboseli. Everything went very well. We enjoyed our safari so much. We had the best driver/guide Dan, he is a gem. We saw and experienced more than we expected- thank you!Amboseli was great, Tsavo was ok.The car was good and spacious.The firm was trustworthy and information given was clear and in time.We van recommend this to anyone- it wes great!

5 star tour!! Ol-Pejeta, Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre In November 2023, my sister and I decided to book two 1-day tours on short notice before leaving Kenya. We went to Ol-Pejeta the first day and the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre the second day. Communication with James via WhatsApp was always very prompt and professional. We were able to book our tours with only 48 hours notice! Sooo lucky! Both tours were fantastic. Our drive to Ol-Pejeta from Nairobi was beautiful. We really enjoyed the Conservancy, the included lunch and the company of our guide, Daniel. He was so cool. The Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre were also a great experience. Overall, we can’t recommend Saunterland Tours enough. I’ll definitely be reaching out to them on my next visit to Kenya.

Great 2 nights safari in Masai mara for my family The safari with Saunterland has been amazing for my hubby, 2 sons and I. We undertook a 2 nights in Masai Mara and it has been great. Surely it has been amazing weekend safari.

A safari worth each dollar The 4 day safari we have finished has been amazing. Too much to write about it but will give a highlight. Emara Olesereni in Nairobi and Little Zebra River camp has been fantastic hotels. James, whom we contacted for planning via their website was extra helpful. Jeremy our guide has been kind, jovial and professional. Masai Mara is expansive and we saw the big five and many cats in just 2 nights we were at Mara. Definitely an amazing trip it has been.

Great Kenya and Tanzania safari experience Just finished a safari with Saunterland team in both Kenya and Tanzania. The communication with James via email and WhatsApp was prompt and professional. James curated a 12 day safari starting in Nairobi and ending in Arusha. We did Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara in Kenya and proceeded to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and ended in Tarangire. The vehicles were clean. The driver who also served as guides had an in depth knowledge of the parks, wildlife and various cultures. Definitely it was an amazing experience to us!

A safari worth every penny!! My husband and I came across Saunterland as we were searching for our safari in Kenya. We have been in a safari before in South Africa through another operator in 2008. This 4 days safari in Kenya exceeded our expectations by far. James was propmt with emails and Patrick was a guide with a hawks eye. He could spot animals from a distance and explained about them with expertise. The Ashnil facility in Masai Mara and Sopa lodge in Naivasha were dope. We opted for the safari land cruiser.It was clean and well maintained. Obviously I would recommend Saunterland for the memorable safari experience

Amazing tour of Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Reached out to the Saunterland team for a 4 day safari in Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. The planning was good, prompt response and good recommendation of hotels. We stayed at the Castle Mara and Sarova Lion Hill lodge at Lake Nakuru. The game drives were comprehensive and can't thank enough Ken our guide for the good job.

A dream come true We chose Saunterland Africa Tours to do the safari of our honeymoon and it could not have been a more successful idea! With James (the owner ) we have a fantastic communication and he cares a lot that his clients are happy and their safaris adjust to their requests, everything was adapted to our ideas and budget, as soon as our guide Alex we only have words of thanks, thanks to him we were able to see the big 5 and everything was explained in our language (Spanish) he works hard to find all the animals and take you to beautiful places, he was also very polite and also funny, we will never forget you Alex thank you for all! Both are great professionals who care that your trip is perfect. The Saunterland team made our dream come true, they are 100% recommended and we will choose them again on our next safari. A truly incredible trip and service with Saunterland If you’re looking for a safari trip operator, we couldn’t recommend Saunterland highly enough. My husband and I are just back from a trip of a lifetime and there’s nothing we would have changed, absolutely perfect - and that’s a great part down to Saunterland’s dedicated help in organising and high level of service while with them.Our trip, initially organised for the summer of 2020 was impacted by the COVID travel ban, but Saunterland were great with keeping in contact through out the 18 months, offering either a refund or rescheduled trip. Saunterland proved to be trustworthy and committed whatever our choice in the circumstances.The attentive emails from our personal planner James, were always fast, thorough and responsive to our requests. He was able to advise if we had a question or needed local knowledge and was adaptable in our changing requirements. Ken was our exclusive guide for our entire trip and we were so thankful for this - Ken studied tourism and Kenyan wildlife and carries now 15yrs of experience touring the national parks. His knowledge of the wildlife, where to find them - even the illusive animals and their behaviours were unparalleled. We found that Ken is well known for his expertise across the Masai Mara, our hotel manager and other guides advised he was particularly knowledgable and we were very fortunate to have him as our guide. We travelled far and wide across the plains and into the lesser-visited corners to watch every animal we could wish for. Ken is so familiar with every every twist and turn of the Mara, as well as the individual prides/herds/animals, you’re absolutely in safe hands. Moreover, Ken has a photographers eye, which means he will always set up in a position that gives you the best lighting, angle, view and background that he possibly can. His attention detail and ensuring our trip was nothing short of fabulous was from start to finish, from airport collection, driving Nairobi and the national park, at our camp site and on other excursions, plus Ken would always ensure any food we ate were free from my intolerances.A truly 5 star trip, thank you Saunterland!!!!!
