3 Days Tarangire- Ngorongoro crater- Lake Manyara Tanzania safari
You will be collected from the airport or your hotel in Arusha and begin your Tanzania safari with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day Tarangire safari experience. Often described as one of Tanzania’s hidden treasures, this park is ideal for travelers seeking an authentic African safari surrounded by wilderness and tranquility.
The scenery in Tarangire is remarkably varied and unlike anywhere else on the northern safari circuit, featuring ancient baobab trees, towering termite mounds, and the life-giving Tarangire River. During the dry season, the river becomes the park’s only water source, drawing wildlife together as the land turns a deep dusty red. In contrast, the wet season transforms the area into dense bushland with lush, tall grasses.
Renowned for its large elephant herds, Tarangire National Park is also home to zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, waterbuck, baboons, and impala. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam the plains, while the swamps attract diverse birdlife including green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, herons, white-bellied go-away birds, and giant kingfishers. In the open savannah, you may spot kori bustards and ostriches, the heaviest flying birds in the world.
After an eventful day on safari, you will drive to Karatu for an overnight stay at Eileens Tree Inn, where you can relax and enjoy dinner.

This immersive Ngorongoro Crater safari takes place within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to more than 120 species of mammals, including the iconic Big Five. The crater is one of the best places in Africa to encounter endangered black rhinos grazing across the open plains, along with large pods of hippos cooling off in the water. From open-top safari vehicles, you will enjoy excellent opportunities to photograph classic scenes of an authentic African safari.
At the heart of the crater lies Lake Magadi, a soda lake famous for its vast flocks of both greater and lesser flamingos feeding on algae, creating a breathtaking pink spectacle. The surrounding grasslands support abundant wildlife such as zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, hyenas, elephants, and black rhinos, making the area a prime location for spotting the Big Five and enjoying diverse birdlife along the lakeshore.
