This camp is situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Rift Valley. Elsamere is the home of Joy and George Adamson. It was here that Joy nurtured some of her orphaned big cats. The area is still a haven for wildlife, with its own small troop of black and white colobus monkeys living and playing in the Acacia trees. Fish Eagles call from the lake shore and hippos, eland and zebra graze on the lawns at night. Elsamere has its own boats for bird watching trips and visiting nearby Crescent Island.
Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp is located on the shores of a fresh water lake in Kenya about a 90 minutes leisure drive North West of Nairobi, outside the town of Naivasha along Moi South road. Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp is constructed using canvas; all tents have en-suit bathrooms with hot and cold running water with flushing toilets. The tents have an ambience and style decorated to give them traditional tent look with all the comforts of a home
