3 days best of Maasai Mara Budget Safari

Dream of Africa and chances are that you dream of the Masai Mara. This huge expanse of gently rolling grassland – speckled with flat-topped acacia trees and trampled by massive herds of zebras and wildebeest – is the ultimate African cliché. But for once the reality lives up to the image and the Masai Mara is for many people not just the highlight of their Kenyan adventure but the very reason they came in the first place.

This safari departs Nairobi in the morning and involves a drive down to the the floor of the Rift Valley making a stop at view point to see the escarpment and the awesome sight of the valley and the features there in. Masai Mara reserve is home to the Big 5 animals, many cats, wildebeest migration and other wildlife.

Masai Mara on a Budget: Your 3-Day Safari Adventure Awaits!

You will be picked from the airport or Nairobi hotel and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Enjoy a drive via typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads. Along the way, we shall have a brief stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley, which is fault line some 3,500 miles (5,600km) long stretching from Ethiopia’s Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique. We will arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Return to camp for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at Fisi Camp.

You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$20 per person). Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop up roof hatch and enjoy this unhindered 360 views, and the possibilities for what lies ahead. Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. In the Mara River, throngs of hippos and crocodiles lurk. The park is also known for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats thanks to its relatively large populations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
