4 Days Nairobi-Masai Mara safari midrange tour

You will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Enjoy a drive via typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads. Along the way, we shall have a brief stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley, which is fault line some 3,500 miles (5,600km) long stretching from Ethiopia’s Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique. We will arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs at the reserve. Return to safari camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Spend the day exploring Maasai Mara Game reserve. Go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the reserve. You may opt to split the game drives into morning and evening game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$20 per person) or taking a hot air balloon safari at $450 per person.  This day you will appreciate the thrill of an african safari and the reason why a masai mara safari never dissapoints. Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop up roof hatch and enjoy this unhindered 360 views, and the possibilities for what lies ahead. Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. In the Mara River, throngs of hippos and crocodiles lurk. The park is also known for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats thanks to its relatively large populations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You will also see lots of Elephants, Masai giraffe, common zebra, impala, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, Topi, Hartebeest, Black-backed jackal, spotted hyena, various bird species and many more. Dinner and overnight at the safari camp.

After a relaxed breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart Masai Mara for Nairobi. (At an additional cost of USD 100 per person (January to June) or USD 200 per person (July to December), you may choose to have a morning game drive in the reserve. You may also opt to have a masai village visit at USD 20 per person. You will be transferred to airport or hotel in Nairobi with lunch enroute bringing to an end what we believe will be a memorable safari under the African blues.
